I used to think exactly the same way... I thought tailwind was something like bootstrap ( which I do like ), so I always thought about tailwind in a context of a project with some dashboard or something.

Then I give it a try because everybody was talking about it. Now I do believe it is a waste of time to write css like I used to do before using tailwind.

I highly recommend you to give it a try aswell.
